Heavy Rain Causes Wrong-Way Crash, Kills Azle Man

An Azle man died Tuesday night after his car slid out of control in the rain and into oncoming traffic. 20-year-old Jeffrey Albright had been driving his Honda Sedan in the westbound lanes of Jacksborough Highway in Fort Worth when he lost control and spun out into the eastbound lanes, crashing into Buick in the 7600 block of the highway.

The auto wreck happened around 7:40 p.m. and Albright was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. The driver of the Buick, an unidentified woman, was CareFlighted to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

Heavy rains and large hail swept through North Texas Tuesday night causing many accidents and lots of damage to trees and properties.
