Man Killed in Rollover Accident near Beaumont, Texas
22-year-old Michael Dunnam died early Saturday morning after crashing his truck on FM 365, half a mile south of Highway 124. His truck went off the road and rolled after striking a ditch.
Unfortunately, Dunnam was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
I recently blogged about a new Texas law requiring seat belts for every person in a motor vehicle. The law was enacted because seat belts so often make the difference between life and death in car and truck accidents.
