Insurance Company Goal No. 1: Pay You as Little Money as Possible

In my book 15 Mistakes That Will Wreck Your Texas Accident Case, I highlight several reasons why you can’t trust insurance companies. It is very important when making a claim that you know who and what you are up against. The first goal of any insurance company is to pay you as little money as possible.

Insurance companies operating in America are some of the largest businesses in the world. The reason they are so large is that they are very good at what they do. The problem with insurance companies is that they try to make their profit by paying the least amount possible for every single claim.

Whether your case is a minor “fender bender” or you have tragically lost your child or loved one in a major car accident, I can guarantee you one thing: the insurance company will do all that it possibly can to pay you as little as possible for your injury or loss.

In the case of resolving a personal injury claim, it is not a normal business transaction where both parties are working toward a common goal. In fact it is quite the opposite. As the injured party you are obviously trying to obtain money from the insurance company and the insurance company is trying to come up with a reason not to pay you.

I hope this helps you realize what the insurance companies true intentions are. Believe me, insurance companies don’t pay any money unnecessarily and they do not pay all until they are convinced that it is in their best business interest to do so.
