16-Month Old Killed in Hit and Run Accident In Dallas, Texas
Raziel Aguilar, who was just 16 months old, was hit by a car near a Southeast Dallas mobile home park on Friday evening. A family member found Aguilar and waved down a nearby police officer. He was taken to the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and was pronounced dead Saturday morning.
The Dallas Police Department is unsure who was involved in the accident, and also noted that everyone in the family is being very cooperative with the investigation. As of right now, police are hoping that someone will come forward and take responsibility for the accident. However, there is also a possibility that whoever did run over the child may not have been aware that they did it.
My sincere condolences go out to the family of Raziel Aguilar. I can only hope that the responsible party will come forward and hold themselves accountable for their actions. Children are often the victims of so many preventable incidents just like this one.
